The Beadery is happy to announce Solder 101!!  We will be teaching basic soldering two Saturdays a month. Each class is $25 and you will take home two soldered charms. I'm very excited about being able to offer this to our great customers. If you're interested in learning how to solder please call The Beadery at 913-685-1212 and register for our February 13th or 27th classes.

Join our newest instructor, Kellie Fenimore, for classes at The Beadery! Kellie does exquisite work and has a gift when it comes to wire designs, pearls and teaching. She will be teaching on Friday afternoons from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm. Her classes are $15. Click on the Calendar to see the February schedule. Love to knit? So do we! Join us at The Beadery on the first Monday of every month for a "knit-nite." We will start at 6:00 and end at 8:00PM. Bring your projects and join us as we share tips, tricks and good company. The next Knit-Nite is February 1.

 We will be holding Kid's Klass on the last Saturday of each month from 2:00 to 3:00pm. Our Kid 's Klass instructor, Nellie Metz, is attending Johnson County Community College and plans on being a nurse. She is a great jewelry designer and great with the little ones! Please stay tuned to our Kid's Klass schedule and plan on getting your children registered at The Beadery 913-685-1212.

New at The Beadery is BYOP Thursdays! Bring Your Own Project and get help, or just spend some quality time getting things done. The first Thursday of the month we will meet from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Come get together with us! Hope to see you!

New at The Beadery is "Stitch-of-the-Month" classes. Two Saturdays a month (1st & 3rd) we will be teaching a new stitch. January is Even-count Peyote. The first Saturday we will learn the stitch and start a project; the second Saturday we will go over the stitch and answer any questions students may have. For those who have finished the project started on the first Saturday, there will be a new project for the stitch of the month. There will be a new stitch every month through 2010. Stitch-of-the-month is a seed-bead series for those of us that love the tedious work of beadweaving! We will have a lot of fun projects thrown in throughout the year for special occasions and holidays. Be prepared to bring your glasses, and have lots of beading needles ready!
